Pastor Michael Crews
Brother Michael Crews was born in 1968 in West Helena, Arkansas. He spent his youth running the river banks and the backwoods of the White River Refuge. Brother Crews was content just to work in the Chemical business and be the best outdoorsman. He never thought he would be living for God much less serving the Kingdom as a minister of the Gospel. Unannounced to Brother Crews, God had different plans for his life and the story unfolds on July of 1997, his lovely wife of 22 years, Sister Spencer Crews received the baptism of the Holy Ghost at First United Pentecostal Church in West Memphis, Arkansas. This led her to a complete commitment to the Kingdom of God. In return led to hell on the home front! Brother Crews did not and would not understand the change in his wife’s life. How could someone suddenly start living a holy life with standards and rules that were beyond any church he had experienced? Sister Crews stayed focused and with a lot of prayer and fasting God pulled on the calloused heart of Brother Crews until he agreed to attend a marriage retreat that the church had in Branson, Missouri. On the last day of the service at the last minute Brother Crews experienced God like never before. While watching the preacher pray for his neighbors he began to think about a few weeks earlier when he had given a mess of fresh fish to those neighbors, who at that time were having marital problems. God knows how to get to the heart of an outdoorsman and at that time he began to smell fresh fried fish in a place that didn’t cook any food. Immediately, God spoke to Brother Crews at that moment and he made his way to the altar. He repented of his sins and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit gave the utterance. April 11, 1999 was that moment with the Master that Brother Crews needed in his life. He was later baptized in Jesus Name in the White River at St. Charles, Arkansas. Later in 1999, Brother Crews accepted his call to preach this glorious gospel that he loves. He has seen the signs and wonders of Jesus in participation of the God is Ready Rallies where people were healed, delivered and saved. While preaching the word of God in the jails, he saw hundreds of men baptized in JESUS NAME and FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST. Brother Crews has taught Sunday school, pastored youth and preached different places and venues. He has taught bible studies that brought families to God. He has a servant’s heart that loves to help anyone in need. He has even been known to stand on the side of the road and held the sign for a homeless man while he rested and ate some food provided by Brother Crews. He is a devoted father of three daughters who are living for God and love this truth. Although he only has three biological children he has taken many others under his wing and helped them to find their way and footing in life. In May of 2009, God called him to start two churches, one in Memphis and the other in Marion, Arkansas. Apostolic Christian Tabernacle in Memphis is a church built on the truth and teaching of Jesus Christ. Brother Crews is a God-fearing man that is not afraid to stand for truth and exemplify true holiness. A Pastor leading Gods people in TRUTH!
